The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Communications Advisor works with the PEPFAR Coordination Office and Interagency Health Team (IAHT) to formulate Mission-wide strategic communication plans and messages, and implement development, outreach, and communications efforts to increase awareness of PEPFAR programs in Uganda. The position will support the Senior Health Communications Advisor to plan, organize and implement public awareness campaigns in support of PEPFAR Uganda programs. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the interagency PEPFAR team’s input on various communication deliverables and developing required documents for internal events. This position reports to the PEPFAR Country Coordinator.
Requirements
Completion of a college or university degree with significant coursework in relevant fields such as journalism, communications, public health, public relations, or international studies is required.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in communications or a similar position in international development.
